What information does Serlio gather?
Information is gathered indirectly (for example, through our web site's
technology); and directly (for example, when you provide information on various
pages of serliosoft.com, give information to a Serlio employee on the phone, or
send us a letter).
One example of information we collect indirectly is through our Internet access
logs. When you access our web site, your Internet address is automatically
collected and is placed in our Internet access logs.
We also collect information when you submit it directly on our web site. For
example, our web site allows you to register for classes. When we collect this
type of information, we will notify you as to why we are asking for information
and how this information will be used. Submitting this information is, of
course, completely voluntary.
How do we use this information?
We will periodically analyze information collected from our web site to help us
identify traffic patterns with our web site, the most effective – and least
effective – components on our web site, and determine how we can make our web
site more effective.
Other information collected - such as online class registration – will always
provide you with the reason that the information is being collected, and will
only be used for those purposes. All customer information is strictly
confidential and will not be disclosed outside of Serlio without your expressed
permission.
When you contact us by phone, email or letter, we may log the contact so that we
have a record of the conversation and will be able to serve you better on
subsequent calls by being able to reference back to previous conversations.
Will we share this with outside parties?
Serlio respects the privacy of our customers and business partners. We
do not sell customer information to anyone, nor provide that information to
anyone outside of Serlio without your expressed permission.
What about sensitive company information?
We care deeply about our customers’ confidentiality. All customer information
is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed outside of Serlio without
your expressed permission. We will also provide our customers with
non-disclosure agreements at their request.
What about sensitive personal information?
Serlio does not seek to collect sensitive personal data in our normal
course of business. On occasion we may request personal information that is
relevant to conducting business, such as dietary preference for a training
luncheon. We will inform you if that information will be provided to anyone
outside of Serlio and the purpose of the information (for example, in the case
of a training luncheon, we may need to inform a caterer about your dietary
preference). In all such cases, we will explain to you why the information is
being requested, if it will be made available to anyone outside of Serlio, and
it will only use that information for that purpose.
